This equipment needs special monitoring, as the service life of the most expensive component of a transformer substation, power transformers, depends on its proper operation.
To ensure trouble-free operation, manufacturers recommend at least 2 times a year to inspect circuit breakers. In some cases, for example, when triggered as a result of a short circuit, or when a transformer substation is not used for a long time, it is necessary to carry out unscheduled inspections and, if necessary, cleaning and repair of AV and other devices that protect the substation from long-term failure.

The repair of circuit breakers is carried out according to the general scheme of repair of industrial circuit breakers and contactors and consists of 5 stages:
The inspection, during which the device is disconnected from the supply conductors, is disassembled and then the contacts, insulators, rubber seals and gaskets, arc extinguishing chambers and their components are checked.
